Pupose
Excel model template for calculating UK stamp duty land tax on property purchases. The property purchased can be either a first or second home residential property.
 
How to use
The stamp duty calcuator is simple to use. Enter the upper bands for stamp duty calcualtions in the yellow cells in column D, followed by the stamp duty rates at each incremental band for both standard and second home rates.
 
The model can be used multiple times once purchased for alternative property investment projects.
 
Outputs
Outputs include the total estimate UK stamp duty land tax required on a property purchase but also the effective percentage cost of stamp duty relative to the total cost of the property acquisition.
