Customer relationship manager (CRM)
Purpose
A customer relationship manager tool (CRM) for tracking relationships and customers
What is a CRM?
This is a central repository for an individual or business to keep customer and proposition contact information, track interactions, and follow ups. CRMs are used by businesses and individuals to grow relationships (and sales)
Settings sheet
On the settings sheet the user can enter the business type in the yellow cells in column C. This can be any categorisation that the user wishes disaggregate the CRM e.g. by industry type or company size. CRM user names are entered into the yellow cells in column E. This should help to split up the CRM between multiple users so that it's clear who has the customer relationship
CRM sheet
The main CRM sheet is the repository for all of your customer or individual networking interations
Column C contains blue cells. Each cell is a dropdown from the "CRM user names" entered on the Settings sheet
Column D contains yellow cells where the user enters the date that the relationship was entered into the CRM
Column E contains yellow cells containing the customer / contact name
Column F contains the role / position of the customer / contact
Column G is the contact's email address
Column H is the contact's company
Column I contains blue cells. Each cell is a dropdown from the "Business type" entered on the Settings sheet
Column J is the location or address of the customer
Column K contains blue cells. Each cell is a dropdown from the blue "Relationship strength" section entered on the Settings sheet
Column L contains a user defined follow up date. The CRM will warn the user when it's time to follow up (refer to trigger below)
Column M contains any notes that the user wishes to store
Follow up trigger
The CRM has some bespoke conditional formatting built in such if the user misses a follow up date then the row will highlight in red (refer to the image). This should act as a reminder to the user that it's time to follow up with the contact
